Does this disable metro completely, what about the annoying login screen with that stupid image you have move upwards? What about the support for games have they fixed that yet?
How do these shell replacements work, do they inject in to the explorer process or replace it completely? I found using stuff like that often causes performance problems and or increases crashes and all other types or random issues.
You have to flick that stupid image up and then login and then you have to go back to normal desktop. Way to painful of an experience every time i login.
I only have a desktop computer.
But you didn't realy answer my questions, you just made excuses for the existing rubbish that I am trying to avoid.
edit: honestly I think i could get by without the start menu, I don't even use explorer i use total commander and could probably make due with just some desktop icons and some pinned taskbar items, it is the inclusion of the fullscreen train ui that I couldn't handle. Reminds me of a cheap kids game. You can't even read the full text of the icons, i could complain for hours about that abomination.

Im wondering,If at a later date Microsoft will release an update that allows the Windows 7 GUI style on 8...Without the need for extra software to do it etc.
Can't see that ever happening, bit of a retrograde step for them and admitting they made a mistake.Im wondering,If at a later date Microsoft will release an update that allows the Windows 7 GUI style on 8...Without the need for extra software to do it etc.
