So I have ran this, seems there are 11 items that need my attention..

For you to review
Install an app to play DVDs
You may need to install an app to play DVDs in Windows 8.

Windows Media Center isn't preinstalled

Secure Boot isn't compatible with your PC

Dual-Core Optimizer
AMD, Version 1.1.4.0169

Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition
Bethesda Softworks

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1

Microsoft Security Essentials

iTunes
Apple Inc., Version 11.0.1.12
Remove authorized PCs

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Reinstall it in Windows 8

WinRAR 4.11 (32-bit)
win.rar GmbH, Version 4.11.0
Update available

So im sure iTunes, WinRAR, Media Centre and DVD player are ok, will just update\reinstall...Fallout 3 - will this play on Win8?

What about the others, the ones in bold?

Any advice appreciated.

all above will work fine, when updated, what it's saying is the current version's won't.

as updates are out for all above, there's nothing to worry about.

i didn't do the update either, i did a clean install, so didn't get any error messages myself

MSE is included in windows 8 under windows defender, so there's no need for that to be installed.

The other two you'll need to re-install (or you can just remove them before the upgrade and install them after the upgrade has completed), but with iTunes you'll need to de-authorise the computer before the upgrade (not doing this will mean that you'd lose one of your five authorised computer slots after the upgrade) and authorise it again afterwards, and with media centre you'll have to get a key code for the media centre pack before the end of January since it won't be free afterwards.

Secure boot isn't actually required by default, so no action needs to be taken on that.
