Windows 8 Gaming Performance ?

Tested the preview version a while back and im wondering if i should give it another chance when it comes out.
Will game/general performance be improved slightly or is it just really the looks of the UI ?

A few friends have said theyve gained a few fps on bf3 by moving to w8 but im waiting on proper testing before i commit too
