Hey guys I was wondering if windows 8 still has problems with games such as minecraft, far cry 3, hitman absolution and others.. I wanted to buy it but need to know if it's worth it or if it's just gonna be a waste and i'll have to go back to windows 7.
Thanks!

Thank you. Anyone having any problems at all? Anyone else found it fine so far?

Not had any problems with my games ie Skyrim,XCOM,Aion,SWTOR,Diablo 3,Baldur's Gate(original),Baldurs Gate:EE,Dishonored,Civilization 4,Risen 2,Star trek Online,Rift,Firefall beta,Planetside 2,SWG:EMU,Dragon Age ,Dragon Age 2,Mass Effect 3 and a few more I could name etc...

only using it on a test pc atm, old dual care E6850 on a asus p5k se m/b with 4 gb of ram and a old Sapphire HD 6570 2048MB vga, a 60gb sata 2 raptor in boot and a Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB SATA II 10,000 RPM as a data drive, using windows 8 pro 64 bit, no drivers needed in install either, found everything except vga as it left that as vga only, no big deal as i like the amd setup anyway.

only really play total war series and a few other games like farcry 3 and skyrim, have loaded a few onto it as a test and so far no errors, had a problem with net keep droping out so cant leave 24/7 without manually resetting it, but apart from that no errors, apps installed are office 2010 pro full install, MSE, and a few other apps, been up and running 4 months so far, but not 24/7 as still net issue, was going to make it my net pc, but until i sort out default gateway error with atheros L1 adapter and netgear router from virgin there's no point.

XCOM wouldn't install for me initially but I got around it by downloading via Steam (I had the disc)

My only other game is Civ V and that worked ok although I did have a couple of graphic bugs crop up. Hard to tell whether that was the game or new drivers though.

COD4/Punkbuster are a problem on Windows 8. Cannot play any multiplayer with Punkbuster on. It crashes.

I have problems with Minecraft but that is it, everything else works fine. I believe it's a Java issue and I'm hoping to have a look this weekend and hopefully get it working.
