Sorry if this is in the wrong section guys but I need serious help
I bought the windows 8 digital copy from MS last night (they had a deal on)
Upgraded from win7 64bit home premium.
First time it boots into win 8 fine. Then when it installs updates and restarts I got a BSOD with this error code: wdf01000.sys, it then auto reboots and gets the same error. So its a vicious circle.
After yanking the power out and plugging it back in and doing a cold boot it actually booted into windows fine. But the os ran EXTREMELY SLOW.
Spec:
Core i5 3550 (stock clocks)
8 gig 1330 MHz corsair ram
HD 7850 gpu
wd caviar black 64 mb cache.
These are more than enough to run this os.
Anyway, so now I think maybe it got corrupt when upgrading from win 7 so id like to a fresh install, completely wiping my HDD. My problem is because I got the digital copy I don't have a physical copy and the digital version is no where to be found
Please help as my PC is practically USELESS.
