Is this possible?

If so, how can I install it from an ISO file, or from a memory stick as I have no DVDs large enough for the image.

The only version of W8 that is available at the moment is the Developer Preview, hardly usable, but you can install it the same way you install any other ISO onto a memory stick

Download Windows 7 USB tool and that will do the job for you, just point it at the W8 ISO

Microsoft has confirmed that the consumer preview will be released at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 29 and information will be uploaded on Microsoft News Centre

So I can point Bootcamp at a USB stick?

I don't think so, what I thought you meant was to install Windows 8 via a USB, bootcamp should then give you the option of booting into windows once you've installed it.

I would assume that when you try to install Windows 8 via USB bootcamp would pick it up the ISO from wherever it is and let you install it

As for the hardly usable comment above thats nonsense, I have been running it since September on my Mac with no problems.

When I say "hardly usable" I mean for everyday tasks like games and internet browsing. Obviously its fine for devs who are just using it for testing purposes

Looks to me as if Bootcamp wants it on a DVD only.

I'm an idiot, I downloaded the wrong image, it's now installing, thanks.

BTW anything I need to do to get the trackpad working properly? Or anything essential I have to install.
