Hi all,

After having completed a new build and having installed windows 8 I am struggling to get an internet connection. After clicking troubleshooting I get the following message.....

"Windows could not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver."

I have absolutely no idea what to do. I have googled various things to try and troubleshoot the problem but they all seem to lead to clicking on a network adapter icon and enabling. Unfortunately I cannot locate this in the places I am being told to go to. Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi all, and especially teppic!!

Its a Gigabyte Z87X-OC board. But I know that teppic is aware of this so will follow the link; and I assume that I can save the driver to a memory stick and transfer over. If I am wrong though just let me know.

many thanks again!

Drivers are fully installed/up to date and are also the correct/compatible ones for your computer/motherboard and your CPU and your version of windows/bit OS?
