Still 50/50 as to whether to try Windows 8, really like the look of it, but not sure if it will be worth it at the moment in a keyboard/mouse environment.
So what i am wondering is, is the product key specific to the copy of windows 8 or does it 'attach' itself to whatever version of windows you are upgrading?
Example - i don't want to upgrade over my installed version of windows 7 in case i don't like it, so i have a HDD with Vista installed on it. If i upgrade Vista to windows 8 then decide i like it, can i then install it over my windows 7 or will i need to purchase another copy as the key is already in use?
