windows 8 - is current hardware / software compatible ?

as topic really .. want to build a 2nd pc using the new windows 8 due out soon ... but not sure if buying hardware now is a good option ??

wont be expensive kit , but just want one that works .. total build will be £500 max

basically if it works with windows 7 id expect it to be ok with windows 8.

Id try the windows 8 preview first tho

Windows 8 is an evolution of 7 which was an evolution of Vista, drivers are interchangeable between all three as they are the same base O/S just like 2000/XP were. Also from reports 8 is supposed to be slightly faster than 7 on the same hardware due to optimization.

Only downside is that the O/S itself is garbage lol.
