Hi

I am having some major issue where my pc keeps crashing due to numerous things.

It crashes when I sometimes connect any external hard drives, memory card readers and when I even access the event logs.

All hard drives and card readers work fine on another pc but on my one it fails.

Tried different ports and different cables and no luck.

It seems to work fine when I run windows in safe mode but event logs is still freezing even on safe mode.

Are you overclocked? If so then then try stock settings. Also have you checked your RAM? You mention the HDD is fine but I would run Memtest for a few hours to check the RAM as well. Is this a clean install or upgrade btw?

Hi.

i am not overclocked. it is all on stock speeds. i am trying to avoid reformating it and if i do i may stick windows 7 back on as this could be a win 8 issue.

very strange that it was working perfectly fine a few days ago. i tried to restore from a system restore and that did not help either.
