windows 8 mail page

Hi all I have windows 8 installed but have a slight problem on the start page when i press the mail icon it just goes to the light blue page with the mail logo on and goes back to the start screen but doesn,t open the mail , also happens with the messaging as well any ideas why this is ?

I had this problem Do you have Avast installed? if so check for a program update fixed mine.

I have UAC off and all my metro apps work

Indeed, all metro apps (certainly the OOB ones) will work with UAC off

You have UAC off as in registry edited off, or you have the slider down to the bottom?

Slider bottom != off in Win8

sorted it was the slider
