Windows 8 - Music App

Is it just me or is it really rubbish? No ability to sort music, searching is a pain as you have to go back to the main screen, type what you want then select music and I can't figure out how to view the current playlist.

It seems like a massive step back from Zune and Windows Media Player.

I've always used Windows Media Player in the past and found it perfect for my needs but this version just baffles me as I can't perform what I would consider basic tasks.

you can use the normal win7 media player its installed just search it but your right,

it doesnt even have a separate volume changer

It is awful, each time you open it it seems to be nothing but ads for albums I detest, and on RT its even worse, seems to mix all my music all over the place, and mix them with ones that can be bought from their store.

It needs a lot of work. I just hope it doesn't become Microsoft's iTunes.

With it being a gateway to their content store I can think of no better incentive to knuckle down and make it a great app.

I use iTunes and xbmc.
