Windows 8 Notepad default font - what was it ?

I changed the font in Notepad on Windows 8, and I want the default one back.... can someone please take a look ? Thanks in advance

i don't know about 8 but on 7 it's lucida console.

I can confirm this, Consolas, Regular, Size 11.

Well I'll be damned...

I must use this prog a few times a week and I never noticed that you could even change the font until seeing this post. I am sure you never used to be able in older versions, pre-7. When did this change?

It's been in from at least XP.

I highly recommend using Notepad2 to replace Notepad
