Windows 8 Older game issues

Installed windows 8 on Friday and all went well,
in all honesty quite impressed with it.

Everything works well if anything it seems quicker than windows 7(placebo maybe)

However, I can no longer play any of the Crysis series.

Tried all different resolutions,single screen, eyefinity , drivers basically your normal tricks etc.

I've posted here as I'm presuming it's a windows 8 issue

Any and all help appreciated

I had a problem when I tried Red Alert 2 on Windows 8. It didn't want to play at all.

Thanks, from what I've read it seem to be hit and miss issue.

Was hoping someone had a similar prob and could steer me in the
right direction

Could be a driver issue since it should run fine http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...cale=1033&BreadcrumbPath=crysis&tempOsid=win8 .

Have you tried usual things like run as admin in compatiblity mode and xp/vista or win7 mode etc...

I couldn't play Crysis in Windows 7 either as it kept forcing my monitor into 24hz and thus a black screen.

Crytek was oblivious to it and ignored.
