Windows 8 on a MacBook Air

Anyone tried this yet?

I read that the proper bootcamp drivers aren't out yet, but it works pretty well in a VM.

Not tried it myself yet, but I'm going to test it out later using these instructions to give it a shot.

I installed the same ISO (64-bit) via Boot Camp on my 2012 Mac Mini. No problems whatsoever so far.

There isn't any problems installing it via boot camp. Just install the drivers and boom.

Have Windows 8 on Parallels. Its crap. Don't bother.

Installed it on my MBA via Bootcamp the other week. Seems to work fine with the Win7 drivers.

probably works well in bootcamp if Microsoft haven't changed driver requirements from windows 7. Windows 8 runs terrible in VirtualBox for mac as of the latest release.

Unless he means Windows 8

Personally I have W8 via PD8 on my MBP and it's running brilliant. The DX10 support is very handy for my course as it means I don't have to dual-boot.

I have a MBA 2012 and its Windows 8 support is poor.

You need a 3rd party drivers for most things:

I've got it running from boot camp. It works fine. I used all apples drivers for windows 7 and everything works as it should. I just think its a flawed OS in its design, and have only logged in to it a few times :/

Is it possible to have more than one native Windows installation on a Mac? I would like to have OSX, 7 and 8 if I can.

ICWUDT. I find Windows 8 hard to navigate if you have hot corners turned on (unless there's a way of turning them off only while in Parallels?)
