windows 8 reset feature + SSD

hi

when using the reset feature, theres a option to secure erase, but my question is if the hdd is a ssd does the Windows 8 Secure erase send the secure erase command to the ssd or does a Secure erase like on a normal hdd (which isn't good for ssd's)?

Windows knows when it is running on a ssd and optimises it's services and procedures automatically.
