Afternoon all,
Odd question to ask, as im fairly sure i know the answer.

"RTM" versions of windows are basically the finished product are they not?
As in, if MS release in 6-12 months time W8 SP1, it will work as intended on a RTM copy?

Reason for asking is that im trialing whats labled as "W8 final" on the MS site here at work, but the build number is RTM and the help files in it refer to "windows release preview".

Just curious as to whats what. :)

Thanks in advance.

So...like i said. :p

Im also trying to work out the difference between English & English international...as the language can be changed at a later date anyway! :p

IIRC windows 8 is the first iteration of windows os which has British versions of the language included in the OS, that is all menu systems through out should be British and not american (or often referred to as international). Older versions while had British keyboard and dictionaries still maintained "international English" spelling such as the use of "color" on theme options.

Our build number is 9200 (from our VLC site), currently trailing it out.
