I've been using a fresh install of W8 since in came out with no problems until now. Over the past couple of days I've noticed the sound has dropped whilst playing music through mediamonkey, like it muffles it. If I restart mediamonkey it's fine but it keeps doing it. Now it's started top do the same when I'm playing games and it's getting a bit annoying. I'm using onboard sound (Asus Maximum V Gene) with the latest drivers and speakers are set to 100%. I've uninstalled and then re-installed the drivers but still got this problem. Anyone else come across this one?
