Windows 8 Steam Problems.

Hi anybody else having problems with Steam and Win8?

Most of my games won't launch, no errors nothing.

CS Go is OK.

Both Batman games and borderlands ......nothing.

Have tried new AMD drivers and installing older DX9.

Any ideas?

I had the same issue after installing win8 last night. Have you ran the ''verify integrity of game cache''? Worked for me after that.

Nope steam has been ok for me on win8, suppose all you can do is verify integrity of game cache like GeneralD said.

Does it make any difference if you install steam with right click 'run as administrator'?

Hi no. I have just deleted everything and reinstalled steam and game. Just hourglass (win8 circle) then nothing. Except CS GO that runs.

Borderlands and batman games don't load. Batman AA has an activation error which I have read is common and they are trying to fix.

I was having this issue with a non steam game but it was doing that at the install stage but I got it to install by booting in to safe mode.

You got steam and the game library on your system drive?

OK think I have got it. Had to reinstall Games for Windows Marketplace. It then allowed me to activate game and it ran. Thanks for you help guys.
