Windows 8 system stats on desktop

I've just installed Windows 8.1 Pro on my PC having been using Windows 7 for a couple of years.
I was using several gadgets on my desktop to show me stats for CPU, Memory,Network, hard disks and GPU etc.

Is there a program I can use to give me all this on my desktop or something similar?

The Task Manager Performance tab gives me most of what I want but not individual core stats or temperatures / Fan speeds.

You could give Rainmeter a go: http://rainmeter.net/

It has completely replaced Windows gadgets for me and looks great as well.

I use netspeedmonitor and OHM and just leave them down in the tray, both easy to customize for whatever stat you need.
