Windows 8 Tiles won't update

Hi All

My wife just recently got a new laptop with Windows 8 installed. she likes it but there are 2 updates that just refuse to install, the Camera and Skydrive apps from the store. Both constantly report as either pending or installing but never complete.

Any ideas?

Yes, just checked and it is activated.

Other apps seem to update OK it's just these 2 specific ones. I've tried un-installing and re-installing them but no luck.

Anything in Event viewer or Reliability History?..I did have an issue onetime with Media Centre would not update when I was using Panda AV 2013 trial,in the end I uninstalled the AV so wondering if you got some sort of similar issue with a thrid party program causing a conflict?
 
Date and time is correct, time zone is correct. All Windows updates installed, nothing in event logs and reliability history is 10/10
 
I'm having the same problem too.

I uninstalled the weather app on the first night I used win 8 in a hissy fit.
now it just says pending when it should be installing.

also I struggled to get any tiles to update. all said pending so started deleting a few and a couple of the others updated and installed. :confused:

I guess it's a bug and it'll get sorted eventually

One of mine stopped working and it turned out to be kaspersky that had not recognised it and put it into am untrusted group.
