So I got a prompt for a update earlier, thought nothing of it, clicked Update and restart, computer restarted and now I get this message on my monitor

" Incorrect cable, please use the DVI-dual link cable that came with your monitor " this message just keeps flashing on the screen, i left it half a hour, tried restarting, same thing.

Now I know this cannot be a problem with the monitor or the cable, I have been using the same setup ever since I got the PC with no problems. I tried booting into safe mode, but I've read that it isn't the easiest thing to do on windows 8. Haven't managed to do it yet..

Does anyone have ideas for this? Maybe a sure-fire way to make my pc boot in safe mode? Must be a way ..

Yeah, actually read this earlier " hold down the Shift key and repeatedly hit the F8 key. Doing so should get you to the recovery mode, but it might take a few tries before you achieve that"

I've honestly tried this about 10 times, with no avail. I can't see any reason that it will work if it hasn't already.
