Anyone having trouble with them installing, with latest ones all I get is a fail to install, system reverting etc, end up having to restore from a previous restore point.
I only installed Windows 8 last Thursday.

These updates aint 'alf big ay ?!

Anyway back OT.... I was experiencing this last night the final straw came when the installation of Office failed half way through, this got my suspicions racing.

Since the CPU was at stock I did a memtest and sure enough after 30 minutes I got errors. Turns out I was undervolting the RAM too much // Put everything to stock today and everything is perfect. Updates, software etc

clean instal here - same errors as above (and there is nothing wrong with my system hardware) - going back to 7.

8 is simply unusable on a desktop. took me 10 mins to find the shutdown button

opened ie, went to google and it wants to install an app?!?!?!

No thanks

I updated on top, running everything at stock, is it possable to go back to win 7 and the restall win 8 at a later date after all the problems are sorted out ?

What sort of error are/were you getting when the update failed, did it give you any code?

I've had a similar problem with Win7 in the past, could be a possible problem with a corrupt download. You could try clearing all the files/folders from "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" and then check for updates again. Might also be worth clearing the temp folders under both C:\Windows\Temp and your user profile C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp.
