windows 8 upgrade key

Hi all is there any windows 8 experts on these forums or can point me to the right forums
I just tried to re installed windows 8 on my PC (i doing a clean sweep) I done this this many times with this key and this PC and works fine every time but this time its keeps saying cant couldn't verify product key and so it let me install windows 8 nothing change on my PC any ideals.

You will most likely need to use telephone activation.
On install don't type in the key and let windows install. Once installed go into "System" and click activate windows, it will offer you the option of telephone activation.
Seen this happen with quite a few upgrades upon reinstall.

If you're trying to install Windows 8.1 straight away you'll need to use a placeholder key, then when it comes to activation use your genuine key.

Otherwise, install Windows 8 (the original) with your original key, then upgrade to Windows 8.1 through the Windows Store.

They really ballsed up the installation methods this time around.

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago, it turned out to be, that I had used the key to many times, and was now invalid. I contacted MS, and they couldn't help, so I went about it the, Google is your friend way.

How many times have you used it ? I think they said you get 5 or 6 uses, that's even if it's only an oem version. I used mine about 5 times on 3 x Z77 PC's, 2 x Z87's nad on my Z97 it wouldn't play ball.
