Windows 8 Upgrading???

My computer has an Illegal copy of windows 7 on.
My laptop has a valid copy.
If i buy the upgrade from windows 7 to windows 8 and put the disc in my Computer when it asks for the Product key, if i use my laptop key will it let me upgrade?
 
If, and that is an if, it let's you do this you will have upgraded your Windows 7 laptop license to Windows 8 so your laptop's Windows 7 license wouldn't be valid anymore if you were using Windows 8 on your desktop.

Basically you're trying to get an upgrade license without having a product that qualifies. Think to yourself if that's what MS had in mind they'd offer all Windows 8 licenses for the same cost whether it was an upgrade or not.
 
No, you have one license and that's it.

Either buy another copy of xp/vista/w7 second hand for the laptop and the w8 upgrade.
Or buy windows8 oem for it.
 
Yes, unless you can find a cheap legal copy of Windows XP, Vista or 7 that would allow you to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro cheaper than buying a full license of Windows 8 Pro on it's own.
