Anyone else having problems?

I am not getting any sound through either my USB speakers, or by plugging headphones into the jack of my keyboard (Logitch G110). Both use the standard USB audio driver.

Headphones work fine through standard jacks on my motherboard and front panel of the case.

any of his solutions work?

not a long shot either, common faults sometimes get fixed with shared and easy solutions, but not always, could just be another win8 one that will sort it self out with a driver update

Ok weirdness ensues. This has been going on for days but is now fixed.

"sfc /scannow" (a command I never knew of til now!) found nothing, but rebooted after it, and sound is working perfectly :|

Thanks for the link. That will actually come in usefull for fixing other peoples myriad of problems :D

sfc or system file checker is an old program thats been there since day one, glad its sorted, works great like the commands for scan disk and fix on reboot, most dont know they have problems until that finds it, in your case you knew you had one, but like most a faulty shut down could have deleted or corrupted a file.
