Or more like not fun at all...

I've booted into it a few times now, installing stuff... No keyboard or mouse drivers. USB or ps2. Great.

Then on reboot, you can't tell the bugger to not boot back into safe mode.

Cue reinstall...

Also had some fun tonight trying to tell my new PC to boot from DVD and wipe the OS drive. That was no go... I had to install windows on another drive, wipe my OS drive, disconnect everything but the blank drive...

Then the safe mode malarkey... I started at 9pm... Thought I'd be in bed by 1am... :o

Oh... And for the first time ever, I've felt the need to put the MB driver disk in...

Without that, Windows doesn't connect to the Internet... Boo hoo.

Run "msconfig", Startup, Start Normally?

Can you not do that in W8?

Problem was getting the keyboard or mouse responsive. So no.

However, it's fine, if you manually run Windows update and install the 50 odd updates that didn't install when windows was first installed... Because it didn't connect to the internet... Even though it sat there for 5 minutes saying "installing updates" obvious really but a bit frustrating...

Alls well though now. Very nippy round windows, much more so than my last installation...
