Has Microsoft start to do Windows 8 1st beta, the next version of operating system on the technet site yet ?

I'm surprised they're doing it so soon. Windows 7 has barely been going 15 months.

Windows 7 is excellent OS and I think will/should last for some years yet. Windows XP certainly lasted 10 years and some people are still using it lol

If all things go as planned, we will likely see a similar to Windows 7 development schedule, with a Windows 8 beta release in January of 2012, a Windows 8 release candidate in April 2012 and a Windows 8 RTM release in July.
