try "microsoft windows 98" and you'll see. However its not worth much

most computers which would run vista decently are too new to even install 98, and vista isnt like xp, you need to have an os installed to upgrade, you cant just put in proof of a previous windows version

No, OEM can't be used to upgrade to vista. 2000 or XP only.

Why anyone would buy a 98 license god only knows.
