Windows "Action Centre" does not open!?

Odd little problem has popped up. I can still see the icons on the taskbar for the "time" and "notification icon for Focus assist/Action centre." However when I select the icons for either, nothing happens. I only noticed because I wanted a quick look at a calendar from the time icon.

I've not installed any new software for literally months, bar the usual drip of windows 10 updates. Did a large update to 2004 build a few days back.

Any ideas? My GoogleFu has failed me so far.

OK. After a little digging I found a fix on the Microsoft site.

"1. Reinstall Start Menu
Windows Key+X > Click Powershell (Admin) > Copy the below and paste into Powershell > Enter > Reboot your computer

Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}"

This worked for me, so just in case anyone else has the same issue I'll leave the info here. No idea what tripped it up in the first place, but looks like I'm not the first to see the problem.
