windows antivirus warning

hi does any one know how to stop the red sheld in the bottom right task bar from displaying the warning "that your system may be at risk as windows cant see a programe for it" i have a third party antivirus/firwall instaled and the warning comes up every time the pc,s are started :confused:

goto: start>control panel>security centre>

there should be an option to turn of monitoring.

Go to the Security Centre in the Control panel, select the Virus software option and you should be able to tell it to stfu!

After you are in the Security centre look on the left and where it says 'Change the way the security centre Alerts me' Click on that and untick the box or boxes! Job done.
