I've bought a hp microserver and I want to install WHS on it, trouble is it only comes with 1GB ram I've just ordered 8GB sticks and I wanted to get it up and running this weekend as I don't have much free time during the week. Is there any way to bypass the minimum ram requirments on installation? at the moment it's not letting me install and I don't have any other DDR3 rams lying around.

Odd, says only 512mb minimum on the specs. Reduce graphics size (Assuming onboard) maybe?
And 8gb is way overkill for a whs box! To be fair, my 2gb seems overkill to me, but it was only a couple more quid for a 2gb stick over the 1gb stick!

cool will try it, im planning on running vmware installations on it, to run some bot software that use lots of ram.

Just tried, whs 2011 installation specifically says system needs 2048 GB ram.. any workaround is probably going to require modifying contents of the CD which will waste me entire weekend, I'll way for the 8 gig to arrive.
