I've had this annoying issue for a while -not long after I installed Windows 8.1
basically nothing will launch from desktop/windows icon - menus
ie right click on it and select control panel, explorer, device manager etc - you click on them and zip- nothing
yet if you use the windows hot-keys all fine - ie windows-key+C and then settings from there all works
as does launching control panel, device manager etc from the Metrol part of Windows 8
any ideas please ?
