My friend is having a weird problem with windows at the moment. Whenever he uses the "switch user" button to go to the XP user screen, windows asks for a password for each user to get back in. Thing is, he hasn't set up any passwords for any of the users yet. It doesn't accept just leaving the password field blank either.
The problem started after I did a fresh install of windows for him on a new drive. There's still another copy of XP installed on another drive in the computer - I haven't finished transferring all the old data across to the new installation for him. The passwords for the old user accounts don't work for the new accounts as well. Seems like an odd problem to me - anyone have any ideas about what's going on?
