Hey, hoping this will be an easy one for someone. I'm being a bit dense this morning.
I remeber there used to be a way where you could get XP to authenticate seamlessly between two machines without a domain by sticking them in the same workgroup and creating identical user accounts on each machine with the same password allowing for file sharing and auhtentication to work.
I've just set up two XP SP2 machines here and it's not playing ball. My application is getting a bad username/password response and im getting a audit failed log on the XP "server" for bad username/pass. The username is shown correct and I know both the passwords are the same but it's reporting the domain as the other machines name. I'm guessing this is the issue.
Anyone know how to get round this?
