As i usually o/c through the bios,is there any desent windows based o/c software about that doesnt require going into the bios?
 
There are plenty of tools like asus ai suite etc but I would never recommend any software for overclocking. It has always been a bad idea to clock through windows just like flashing the BIOS through windows is a bad idea. All sorts of things can go wrong.

Stick with the BIOS.
