Well i did have an illegal version of windows Media centre but as it got annoying i purchased the genuine one, now 1 month later it is asking for my to buy it again, and its becoming very annoying as i have no clue how id stop this without having to uy it once again.

Anyone anyclues how i can either stop the notifications legally?

Yes just check the box to disable the notifications until you next do a Windows Update... Other than this or installing a genuine copy of the OS there is no other way to prevent the notification appearing...

I would be more concerned though by the fact you've purchased a legal copy and it is saying it is not genuine. You didn't buy it for £15 on E-bay, right? right.....?

no, no, i had like an illegal one from a friend to test Media centre and as a stand in until i can afford the real one as i had just bought my new PC and loosing anotehr £80 was just too much when i could get it later when i had the money, i purchashed from microsoft as i thought it would be most fastest.

So if i left it as it is, am i safe still, just get a stupid messege?

Well, how exactly did you "buy it from Microsoft"? Did you insert the new CD key and so on? What's the message you get? Is it the new Windows genuine notification message?
