Windows BIOS flashing... woops

so i was updating my bios using the uguru utility but didnt realise i was still installing windows updates... so half way through it restarted my computer and now it refuses to switch back on

ive tried clearning the cmos... but it doesnt seem to get me any futher

anyone know a fix to this?

i havent tried the battery yet as it is hard to get out... and im not sure if it would make any difference

darn, just got it out for 5mins and put it back... its still the same

theres no hope for me at all?

Unplug the power cord and leave the battery out for a good half hour.

On asus some even got it back reversing Battery (weird I know).

Is Eprom removable or new soldered ones like asus now do ?.

Try and get hold of another bios chip? iirc the chip is removable.

abit UK (or others) can supply you with a new BIOS chip preflashed or you can send your old 1 in for reprogramming.

i would rarther just order a new one and get it on monday if its going to take weeks to get another chip... thinking of a p5k premium

You can even HotFlash your borked one once in Windows then you have a spare.
