Windows Boot difference Intel/AMD help needed!
So im currently sitting on the rig in my sig. My window boot time no matter if its windows 7 or 8 hasnt been that fast on my AMD setup where as my old and dead i7 920 also on a sabertooth board was so much quicker when it came to booting. Now this isnt a major issue but would still love if there were some sort of fix for it that i may have overlooked.
Now here is where it starts to get weird. At one point my graphics drivers got screwed somehow and i lost crossfire capability but my OS would now boot so insanely fast that even my old i7 setup couldnt follow it(this was on my dead vector). First thing i then tried after i fixed the drivers and i lost the fast booting was to remove the one gfx card but this didnt help and i havent been able to get the fast booting back ever since.
Tried:
1) Different AHCI drivers, performance never got better but sometimes got worse.
2) AHCI and RAID bios settings.
3) Tried the AMD sata controller but CMS seems to hate the drive even more and refuses to boot if its set to raid.
4) Currently sitting on the ASMedia controller in AHCI.
5) Different and fresh installs of windows 7 and 8. Not working. Currently on 7 for the time being.
Currently running on an older Kingston ssd v100 64gb valuenow, which hated the x58 chipset most of the time and really hates my 990fx chip, but funny enough loves my laptop where it blazes ahead with lovely speeds. Any assistance would be appreciated dearly as i am at my wits end here. Thank you in advance
