Windows boot disk

I have recently formatted my hard drive. I have backed up my files on to a external hard drive and burned a windows vista iso disk using imgburner. I have selected cd-rom first in the boot menu and saved my changes. It then said boot from cd but came up with missing operating system. I have other pc's at home so I can use them if possible.

So does anyone no how to make my cd work?

Any help would be great as soon as possible.

When you say missing os do you mesn it starts to read the disk then it goes to the recently formstted hdd and says bootmgr not found?

No everything is deleted even the os.

Bootmanager is coming up now.
It says its fails to read the data.

It says the file \boot\bcd is wrong

Try starting up thr pc eith none of the hdds connected and see if itt boots the disk if it doesnt you'll need to burn another disk

I can't believe it I think I am going to cry. Whilst serching for a screwdriver I found the installation cd.
