Windows Boot screen

I recently done a fresh re-install of Windows 7 but now when I turn on my PC I get a black Windows Boot screen, with two options.

Windows7
Windows7

When i choose the top Windows7 everything is perfect, when I choose the bottom one, I get a "Windows failed to start" message.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this so my PC boots up without selecting anything.

Based on SSD available space, I only have one Windows installed.

Edit - I deleted the partition before re-installing, so there wasnt a Windows 7 there that I installed over.
 
hi jamesy, you can try this:

click start
type msconfig in the search bar at the bottom and hit enter
you should now see a window called System Configuration
go to the Boot tab
you should see two entries in the window
one of them should say 'Current OS; Default OS' - DON'T delete this one!
click on the other one and click the Delete button

If you're not sure which one to delete, then take a screen grab of the System Configuration window (Alt-Print Screen will create a pic of the window, then open paint and just cick the paste button) and post it here and we can take a look.
