So, this is driving me mad. I've recently upgraded the wife's PC, spec as follows:

CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6700 G0
Cooler: CoolIT Eco Water Cooler
MEM: Crucial 8GB DDR3 1333MHz C9
MOBO: Gigabyte GA41MT-S2P
GPU1: PNY XLR8 GTX460 1GB
SOUND: Onboard
SPEAKERS: Creative Labs A40 USB
HDD1: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB SATA-II
OPTICAL1: Optiarc/NEC 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer
CASE: Fractal Arc Mini
PSU: Coolermaster Elite 500W
TFT: Acer 24" 1080P HDMI
KEYBOARD: Logitech (something)
MOUSE: Logitech MX518
OTHER: Windows Vista SP2 64Bit

Everything installed fine. It's a completely fresh install, all latest SP and updates are on. All the latest drivers.

I have tested with:

IBT - 1GB, 2GB, 4GB = All Pass no problems
LinX - Problem size 20000 = Pass no problems
Prime95 - 6hrs - Pass no problems
Memtest86+ - 12hrs - Pass no problems
Unigine Heaven - Pass multiple loops no problems
3D Mark - Pass multiple loops no problems
OCCT GPU Test - 30mins - Pass no problems

So as far as I can tell the CPU, Memory, and GPU are all 100% fine and stable (all running stock).

Temps are all perfectly reasonable (CPU doesn't top 58C under full load, sits about 28-30C idle).

Yet for reasons I can't fathom the PC can just be sat at the desktop and then just BSOD, memory dump and restart.

This also happens while browsing, and in games. It'll be fine for 5-10mins or so, or even an hour, but eventually it will BSOD, memdump, restart.

It's driving me mad :|

I'm going to run some tests on the HDD tonight to rule that out. If that passes I can only assume it's a software issue.

In which case I'm totally stumped as it's only a basic install, all it has on there is Vista + SP + Updates, drivers, and Steam. =/

Does anyone have any idea's what could be causing this?
