Hello. I made a bootable windows 7 disk and when I start install it always crashes while extracting. I dont know if this is a issue with the disk or HHD or dvd drive
It was running but messed up so I took it away to format but it keep crashing trying to install Windows.
Ended up it was the PSU, it must have been just enough to run his PC but on way out and when the Rom drive and HDD and no doubt CPU+Ram were going full pelt also to install OS it failed.
Installing Windows is probably more stressful than most would imagine and reason MS used to tell you to run stock not overclock while installing.
Tested with an old PSU and installed fine then got him a cheap new PSU.
This might be it, all my parts are new, but the psu is a old, 430w psu running a haswell i3 and a R9 270x, ill try installing the disk on a old laptop and see if it installs
