Mates Pc is running Vista 64 and it did some updates and reset once finished, whilst he was playing a game.
Now its dead. So I said boot in safemode and try to uninstall the updates from the control panel. But it wont do it, just says 'an unknown error occurred, update not uninstalled'
He tried to repair and use last known good settings, but didn't work.
Is this a reformat and start again job (with a newer version of windows) or is there anything else that can be done?
