Hi I just want to make sure i,m doing the right thing i have Avast Anti Virus and Malwarebytes and i have switched off Windows Defender both real-time protection and auto scan is this correct ?

Yes.

Windows Defender is a pitiful, shambling, outdated joke.

But if you haven't paid for malwarebytes you don't get realtime protection - you'll have to do the occasional manual scan.
