windows desktop can been seen during gameplay

hi,
i am not sure if this is the correct forum. I did not have this problem before i got my new monitor (korean 1440p). When playing a game i can seen my windows wallpaper and any open window on darker screens. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is, and how i might fix it?

are you sure it is the active windows open behind the game?

Im just wondering if its possible there is burn-in on the screen?

i have just had a look and yeah it seems to be burn in.. It might be to do with the fact that the panel is overclocked? i never leave the screen on for to long so maby it takes a while for thhe window to go away

there's programs you can run that alternate bright/dark to remove brown in; pretty sure i read modern tft don't get true old fashioned burn in.

it will go away on its own mate its because the panel is overclocked

I don't get it when gaming just on web browsing because its a static image but it goes away after a while

If its bugging you that much run it at stock 60hz and it wont happen.
