I would be really grateful if someone might be able to explain something to me.
At my work, we have dozens of PCs on the network, all running Windows 7.
I have a workstation that is usually mine but, every now and then, I have to work on a PC at the other end of the office.
Until fairly recently, I would have to leave my workstation on and then use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to my workstation from the new PC I was using.
However, after a bit of tinkering from our IT guys, things are a bit different now - I can now log into any PC on our work network and my desktop will automatically appear as soon as I log on.
How, exactly, is this happening?
I can only assume that my desktop profile is being saved and loaded from the server, every time I log on and off.
