I just bought the Samsung F3 1TB and have been using it for the last 3 weeks...

Last week in windows it said:

Windows detected a hard disk problem. Back up your files immediately to prevent information loss... etc

Then today it showed it 5 more times.

Is my HDD failing? I bought it only 3 weeks ago!

What can I do and what exactly is happening?

Thanks

It's a Samsung, what do you expect?

Run Samsung estool and it will show any problems..

well... the F3 samsung is recommended by almost everyone on these forums...

So it is safe to assume that it's a fualty drive and will definitely fail in the near future?

Yes i had three of my own Sammy's fail in the past. The last straw was when one failed in a RAID-5 set-up I configured for a customer after just 3 months. The new F3 looks very tempting but I made a promise to myself not again.

I take it you have backups?

Run the diagnostics tool as suggested or HDTUNE. Any problems, RMA it immediately.
