Windows detects two networks at startup

On windows 7, if I reboot the pc it detects a Home and a Work network and subsequently wont connect to the internet. If i disable the network card then enable it again, Windows then only detects one network and connects to the internet fine.

Whats causing this?

Is it picking up an IEEE 1394 / Firewire interface and creating a connection in Networks?

If so simply Disable it via icon or in the BIOS...

Mine was doing this too. Google bonjour service and how to remove it. Once I did this it stopped the multiple networks error on boot.

My GF had a problem like this. Was a bad driver issue.

I havent got that running so that cant be the issue, thanks anyways

if you do a ipconfig /all from the cmd line it should show you the networks and this may give us a clue if the other suggestion dont work
