Windows disk check when starting up pc?

When i shutdown down my pc, 70% of the time , it does a disk check on my partitions. It says that the pc may not have shut down properly, even thou it did. I have had most of the parts in this pc for many years. The only recent changes is the hard drive and PSU. I get no other problems like crashes or BSOD's.

Can anyone help?

no it isn't really wise if the disc has errors, but sometimes windows gets into a routine of always checking at startup

if you've changed the 'wait to kill' time for your apps on shutdown, this can cause the message to turn on
